Buenos Aires, January 19 (NA) – Singer Oscar “Chaqueño” Palavecino referred to the comment and joke from journalist Jorge Rial aimed at him following his recent appearance with President Javier Milei at the Jesús María Festival. According to Noticias Argentinas, the Argentine leader took the stage to perform “Amor Salvaje” alongside the musician last Saturday, January 17. Following this, Chaqueño Palavecino came forward to deny the controversial accusation from the journalist, stating he had not received any payment for the performance. “I have no political flags whatsoever,” he stated firmly in a radio interview. Regarding Milei's presence in Jesús María, he mentioned: “I knew he was going to sing, and well, he is the President of the Nation.” Finally, he addressed Rial's comment, which suggested the artist had been compensated for sharing the stage with Milei: “Absolutely nothing.” Among the reactions to their encounter, the statement from Jorge Rial stood out, who criticized the musician on his social media. “The Chaqueño Palavecino. Isn't that what they called the artists who live off the state? All tickets were sold out long before they announced he was going, and all the previous nights without the president were sold out. They can't talk about that because it has nothing to do with it.”
